How Do You Pack?

So, I love knowing how other people do things! I know..you are thinking that sounds like I am being nosey! but I am sure you like to know too!
I love to go on vacation but sometimes the packing gets to me! I think I spend too much time on it. Matthew just laughs at me because I have a system! It all starts with LISTS!! I am a list person anyway, but when it gets close to vacation I start to run low on sticky notes! (and zip-lock baggies)
The night before we leave the pressure always seems to get me! I am going back through everything making sure we don't forget anything and the crazy thing is I know anywhere we go I can always find a Walgreens/Walmart/Target, but even knowing that does not calm me! I hope I am not weird and there are some of you that go through this! I am serious Matthew just laughs at me. He is the type that about 10 minutes before we leaves can just take clothes off the hanger, ball them up and put them in a Wal-Mart bag! hahahah...I am not lying he has done this several times when he has came to my mom and dads! That is one thing I love about him, he does not let things get to him and he never stresses about junk like this! So anyways, I am very organized when it comes to packing! I like everything in zip-lock bags! It keeps everything nice in the big bags so that there is not just mass chaos when you open the bag! I pile everything in the spare room floor and then once that is all done I go back and put it in the bags!
piles! excuse the mess of the room!

Bathroom stuff!

Jaggers stuff

our FAVORITE part! Snacks!
I am almost done with packing. As soon as I get done on here I am going to get in the attic and get down the bags, start the dishwasher, pick up (I can't stand leaving our house messy!), finish putting up the laundry, and then hopefully get a little bit of sleep!
Enough about vacation, if you know me then you know I love to eat! Its part of who I am! I am always talking about what I want to eat or what I have been eating! I found some new snacks that I am hooked on! I love finding new snacks and now especially since I have been on Weight Watchers my eating habits are alot different!
The Emerald Breakfast on the Go packs are AMAZING!!!! They have cranberries, yogurt, walnuts, and alot of other yummy stuff!  I am also enjoying the 90 calorie packs of mini rice cakes. I eat them instead of chips! These have BBQ, Ranch, and Cheddar Cheese flavors!
I have always loved anything from FiberOne but these are super yummy! They are chocolate brownies! These really help when you are needing a chocolate fix! and then of course I am a jelly belly fan but these Sour Patch Jelly Beans are unreal! I could eat the whole bag! I love Easter but then it makes me sad because all these great candies come out and then after Easter they are gone and we can't have them for another year! :(  Well..there are my snacks! Do you have any new snacks you can't live without?
Jagger did great at daycare today! He was running around the playground when Matthew picked him up! I was so happy! Here is the newest picture he painted!
My frig is covered with huge pieces of paper that he has painted on! I need an art gallery! ;)
I think it is time for me to get off of here and get busy with my list!
Hope everyone had a blessed day!

End of James

Well...we are finally at the end of James-Beth Moore's Bible Study! I was amazing and I am actually sad it is over! I keep telling myself that it is not the end but just the beginning of something great! God really showed me alot during this study! Tonight is our potluck to celebrate getting through the study! We are doing a "bring a salad potluck"...Here is my salad..
It is my favorite thing to make!! Pasta Salad..even my picky eater husband LOVES it! We will make ourselves sick on it! and while I was making it I had to try it several times!
Today has been great! Jagger went to daycare this morning!! YAY and no crying! God is answering prayers! Matthew picked him up and brought him home, then we ran to Aldi's to get a few groceries. By the time we got home it was time to get ready for my scheduled closing! Yes.. I said closing! I sold my 3rd house! We have been so thrilled that God has given me this opportunity! Closing went great! I was sad to say goodbye to the old man that sold the house! We had become friends- I will have to tell his story when I get a chance! I love how God brings people into our lives. He is someone I will never forget!
and more happy news...We got our computers fixed!!!! The Hallelujah chorus is playing in the background right now! ;) I can finally start loading pictures and get back to blogging!
Hope everyone has had a super blessed day!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Yay!! Happy Wednesday already! The weeks seem to be flying by! ;)

I'm LOVING that today the weather is amazing! I am so ready for summer! I actually got to wear cute wedges today! ;)

I'm LOVING Coke Zero! Now...don't judge until you try! I have never been a coke fan but when I started Weight Watchers it is a drink that is FREE!! So...I drink lots of Water and when I need something different my first pick is Coke Zero then Diet Coke!

I'm LOVING that even though gas is going up like crazy I do not even worry about it! It is very sad that gas has to be this high!

This cracks me up!! ;)

I'm LOVING that Jagger did great this morning at daycare! They said he only cried for a minute or so and it wasn't even a cry! I guess my prayers are getting answered!

I'm LOVING Daylight Savings Time! We can actually stay outside when Matt gets home from work! Its awesome!

I'm LOVING Leslie Sansone's Walk At Home! This is one of my favorite workouts! I have horrible knee issues and can not run! Last year I got a really bad knee injury so I have figured out I better watch it! We do not need any knee replacements, so that is when I found Leslie! I have been averaging 3-4 miles almost everyday! She is awesome...and on the days I don't have time to do that much I at least do the 15 minute mile! You can find her dvds at Wal-Mart and the other great thing she is a Christian!!! ;)

I'm LOVING that we are going to paint our bedroom this weekend! I think I have finally decided on gray! These are some of the inspirations I found....

Link up with Jamie and tell us what you are loving!!
Hope everyone has a super blessed Wednesday!

Monday

Well here it is another Monday!! I can't believe it's almost the middle of March!! Time passes so fast! We had a great weekend!! We did not do anything special, but we did get a lot accomplished! We worked in our yard all day on Saturday! We bagged about 10 bags of leaves, pulled weeds, and got the garden ready to plant. It felt so good when we got done. We are getting ready to get new landscaping. It kind of stresses me out because I know what I like, but we just have to get it done!
Sunday was pretty lazy! We had church, then came home and enjoyed the day! Jagger had his friend Jensen over, so they played all afternoon! I'm so glad he is at that age where he has friends and wants to play! Friday at daycare was a success! He did not cry and he had a good time! I'm going to start sending 4 times a week at least, hoping that will help him get use to it!
I'm kind of sad because today is the last day of bible study! We are finished with the book of James! When I finished the study all I could do was cry! This has been a great study for me and really opened my eyes to a lot. It has made me examine my life and a few things that I need to work on! Quick to listen, slow to anger, slow to speak. James 1:19!!! This is one I really need to work on!
I have had something else on my mind! I want everyone to know that reads my blog I would never put anything on here to offend anyone! What I write is strictly based on my beliefs or what is going on in our family! I feel sometimes Matthew and I are constantly walking a tight rope to make everyone happy and not make anyone upset. We have a HUGE family when you think about both sides- Bennie and poppie, Gigi and pa, Matthews dad David and his wife kim, my grandma, my grandpa, Matthews grandma Betty and pa, the sister in laws, aunts and uncles on both sides, and lots of cousins. We try and want to make everyone happy but we have learned that is impossible. As husband and wife we have decided our main concern is the Lord first, then us-meaning Jagger,Matthew, and myself! We love our family and friends very much. We thank God everyday for everyone he has put in our lives. I just hope that everyone knows we would never say or do anything to ever hurt anyone and if we have we are very sorry!
Ok, moving on!! :)
We are very excited about going to Branson next week! We probably won't know what to do with ourselves bc we haven't been anywhere in awhile! I'm not sure what we are going to when we get there, but I would even be ok if we just sit in the room! I am hoping we can do aliitle shopping! :) Matthew says he can pass on that, but I'm thinking once he sees the Polo outlet he might change his mind! If you have any Branson suggestions let me know!!!
Hope everyone has a blessed day!!

What's Been Going On!!!

Hey Everyone!!! My name is Megan Cohn. I am 25. I am a stay at home mom....... No, I'm just kidding! But I feel like its so long in between writing on here that I should almost introduce myself! :(
We have been a busy little family over the last week! I had told you all last Friday that we would be meeting Bennie and Poppie to take Jagger to Monster Trucks!
Saturday morning, we got up pretty early and met Matthew's mom and dad in Jonesboro to go shopping! We were hoping that Matthew would pick out something for his birthday! Well that didn't really happen! If you know Matthew then you know shopping is like having to pull teeth! We ended up finding more for Jagger than we did birthday boy! He did end up with a pair of jeans! After shopping, we went and ate at Fuji's japanese grill! Jagger LOVES to eat with the "fire"! He thinks it is so funny! We had a wonderful lunch but I was stuffed when we got done!
Around 6:30, we met them and Jagger was jumping up and down. He could not wait to see the trucks! The convocation center was full of people! This show brought out everyone!!!! It was quite interesting, but totally worth it because Jagger was so happy! The show lasted almost 3 hours and thankfully we had ear protection because we would have been deaf! My ears were ringing and I had protection! I was very thrilled at one thing that happened during the show! At the beginning, we did the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegience, and right after that one of the drivers ran up and grabbed the microphone. He says, "I am a prayin' man, and tonight I am going to give this night to the Lord!" I almost cried. In his prayer, he prayed for all the ones there that had not found Jesus! I was grinning ear to ear! This is not something that is too common, and when he got done, people were screaming and cheering!
We made it home late that night, so sleep came very quickly for us! The next morning, we got up and went to church. After church, it was time for the Birthday boy's lunch and party!!!! YAY! You got to love Grandma Betty's family birthday parties! Its so sweet! ;) Jagger kept running to Matthew and saying, "Daddy, you are not too old for presents! Grandma got you some presents"! It was so funny! Matthew had a great birthday!
As for this week, it has been interesting! We had bible study on Monday night, and then I have been busy with real estate! Today, I had two offers that came to an agreement!! I am not going to get too excited because it could still fall through, but I think it is great that I "kind of sold" two houses in one day! God is so good! I was so happy because I also got to eat lunch with a very good friend of mine, Christina. I have missed her so. I met her when I came into Matthew's life. He was already good friends with Christina and her husband, Chris! She is very special to me and it makes me sad we don't see each other more! She was in the room when I was trying to recover from having Jagger! She got to experience all the drama that came with that! I am glad that I didn't scare her off! ;)
Please keep Jagger in your prayers. He is still having a very hard time with daycare. I had to contact the director and talk to her. We are going to try a few things and see if that helps, but he is really struggling! It is very hard on me and Matthew! I am to the point now, all I can do is pray and let God take care of the rest!

What I'm Loving!!

Well it is a crazy WINDY day here!! I could barely get my car door opened! I keep praying that we will have no tornados (and I am for sure praying for the safety of the people that are getting them today)! Anyways, since I did not do a link with What I'm Loving Wednesday, I am going to do it today!! I think today is a good day to tell what I am loving this week!

* I'm Loving turkey pepperoni! If you have not tried it, you are missing out! I even got Jagger hooked!

*I'm Loving my car!!!! Its nothing special..Its a 2001 Toyota Camry but guess what? Its paid for and now that gas is getting crazy and will only continue to get crazy, I have not even worried about it. I figure this summer it will take about $70 to fill it up but thats ok since we don't have a payment! ;)

*I'm Loving the Firstborn series from Karen Kingsbury! I finally finished them all and they are amazing!!! If you get a chance, read them! They are about a christian girl who falls for an actor and the struggles they go through to make their lives work together!

*I'm Loving that we are going to Branson in about 2 weeks for a mini vacation!!! We are going to have so much fun! I can't wait!

*I'm Loving that it is getting time to do yard work and gardening! I love working in the yard, and once I start I can't stop! Come on Spring..Hurry up!!!

*I'm Loving that tomorrow we are meeting Bennie and Poppie to watch Monster Trucks! They bought Jagger tickets to go watch it so we are going! Its going to be fun! Matthew was laughing that we will be there with alot of rednecks! I am sure we will but oh well! :)

*I'm Loving that it is getting time for flip flops and cute summer wedges!! AAAHHHHH..I'm so ready!
Time for a pedicure!

* and last but not least I am loving my heavenly father and my two boys-Matt and Jagger!
So what are you loving this week?
Hope everyone has a super blessed week!

Tornados!!

Well it's already tornado weather around our part of the country! I LOVE being from the South! I am a true southern belle!! :) BUT the weather here kills me sometimes! The spring has the worst stormy weather! Tornado season will get going and it doesn't seem to stop, then the summer gets smothering hot! You can almost part the humidity when you walk outside... No need in fixing your hair! Anyways the tornados are something that use to scare me too death and i mean that literally! When i was little i would go into a panic and hide in the closet if there was a cloud in the sky. Then 1999 happened... We had tons of tornados that hit our town and everywhere around us! During that my dad was working nights, so me and mom were home alone. We got a storm shelter and we pretty much stayed in it every night! After that yesr, i really have not been scared! When jagger came along i started getting nervous during the storms and its only because i want to protect him! Tornados are nothing to take lightly! They are very scary and very dangerous! So, Today I started looking at storm shelters. I'm really thinking that will be our next investment! Do you have a storm shelter?
We had an interesting situation happen to us this week! The other afternoon I was sitting in the chair reading and Jagger was watching tv eating a snack! Let me explain this first.. Our coffee table sits in front of our couch. The top of the table is marble and then the legs and bottom are a type of heavy iron- there is a decorative bar underneath the top and then it goes into a large open bottom for storage! Like I said, I'm sitting reading and the next thing I know Jagger is screaming to the top of his lungs. I jump up and get to him and am asking him what is wrong. Of course, he can't talk because he is crying hysterically and then I see his foot is trapped in the gap between the top and the bar underneath it! I go to yank it out and it's not budging! I start to panic because he is really hurting. I call Matthew and just yell come home Jagger's foot is caught in the coffee table( and I'm saying this while I'm crying). Me and jagger are hysterical at this point because I'm thinking his foot is broke and we are going to have to call the fire department and they will have to break the table. I run and get some lotion thinking I will smear it all over his foot and the bar, and that might loosen it. NOT!!!!! Matthew finally gets home and surves the situation, goes calmly to his shop and returns with a HUGE crowbar and hammer! He starts beating on the table trying to break it, and I'm in the background cringing because I love this coffee table! Finally after about 5 minutes of beating the table his foots pops out!! It was all red and that was about it! He could walk and run on it! Jagger kept saying, "mommy, I never put my foot there again". I look at it now and crack up but it's so funny how when you are in that moment it seems so horrible! I'm sure if we would have had a camera it would be quite entertaining! That was the major excitement of the week, but our other excitement was I closed on my second house today!!!! Yay! The couple is super sweet and I'm very excited for them! I am also partial to them because the wife is from my home town!!!
Well time to get settled for the night!!
Hope everyone had a super blessed day!!
