Blogging Rut!

I know I have been MIA the last week or so but I have been in a blogging rut! Our life has not been super exciting and during my free moments I have been obsessively reading! I go through spells....I will read like a crazy person for a couple of months then I get burned out. I have read 6 books in two weeks, so instead of blogging I am reading! ;)

This is Jagger's last week of school and it is making me sad! I can't believe my baby boy will be a 1st grader, and our sweet Allyson will be graduating Thursday night! How is all of this possible? Blows my mind!
Here are few things we have been up too this last week..

Authors Day!! Jagger wrote his book about sharks! It is precious especially the spelling! ;) We are so proud of him!

Pop Concert: The last concert of the school year! The boys had a blast! Jagger knew a lot of the songs and Hudson made sure to announce every time the kids would walk off the stage "They go BYE BYE!"

Dirty Dog: We have had tons of rain around here and its driving me crazy because this little boy things every time he goes to pee he can dig in the mud! I was so so mad at him the other day! He had a blast....Momma didn't!

Baseball: Jagger loves baseball! He wants to play every single day! I love his facial expressions while he is on the field! Priceless!

Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Lots of love..

Mother's Day!

Mother's Day! For some it is a very special and happy day. For some it can be a sad day! But for all, I hope it is a day we can honor our Mommas. I feel truly blessed that God gave me a momma who loves me and did her best to raise me to be a good person! I pray every day that God shows me how to be a mom to my boys that brings honor to him. I have not only been blessed with a great mom, but with so many women in my life who have taught me things about being a mom.
*Grandma Margie/Grandma Betty: Both my Grandma and Matthew's grandma have showed me what is like to love your family more than anything. Both of these women love their kids beyond words.
*Mrs. Stacy: Mrs. Stacy was my boss when I worked at the pharmacy in high school. I always said I wanted to be like Mrs. Stacy when I grew up! She is the most amazing mom. She loves her kids and wants the best for them, but most importantly she loves God! She is the most caring, honest, loving woman I know!
*Matthew's mom: I can honestly say I have never met anyone who is so selfless. She always puts her kids before herself. She will go without so her kids can have. She has more patience than any person in this world.
*Mrs. Janet: I have only known Mrs. Janet since I have lived in Kennett, but I feel like she has been part of my life forever. She has taught me how to be a true daughter of the King. She has always has advice when it comes to be being a "boy mom"(she has two boys). She has been there for me when I thought no one else was. I love you Mrs. Janet!
*and last but not least, my momma! My mom's mom passed away when she was 9, so having a mom growing up was something she didn't have. She did have lots of women in her life that were "motherly figures". My mom did a great job raising me even if she didn't have a mom there with her telling her how to raise a daughter! She did the best she could with what she had, and I think she did a pretty good job! :) She was and is always there for me, but does not smother me. She taught me important things in life..*jobs are important: I have always had a job until kids came along. I worked all through high school and college. I paid for most the stuff I had. At the time I would get so upset, but I look back and am so grateful for this. I understand what it is to appreciate things and know what things cost.  *how to run a home: I always had chores. I made my bed, did laundry, and helped clean the house. It was not always fun, but I did it. I am in shock now at the people who are in there 20's and their parents still wait on them??? I don't understand this. I am so glad that I can do things for myself and don't have to have my mom to get things done.   *laugh a little: mom and I have the same sense of humor. We can sit at the table and laugh for hours over things no one else will laugh at. I am so grateful that she has taught me how to laugh. Life is too short not to laugh!

There are so many other women in my life who have left an impression on my heart! I thank God every day for all the women he has put in my life and how he has used them to teach me something. I hope everyone had a super Mother's Day!

 Have a blessed day!
Lots of love..

What I am Wearing!

Yay!! It has been around 3 weeks since I have done a what I am wearing post. This last week I finally took a few days to dress in something other yoga pants, and boy oh boy did it feel good!
So here is what I had going on...

Jagger had his kindergarten program last week so I wanted to wear a fun top! I love print tops! I think you can never go wrong with a print and skinny jeans! I ordered this top from shopriffraff.com  I love their stuff and have never been disappointed in any of it!  My wedges came from justfab.com and the statement necklace is from Wal-Mart!

I really wish you could feel this top! It is one of my favorite. It is a super soft terry cloth and I love wearing it with white pants! Makes for a comfy look! Paired with the old trusty Boston Proper sandals...I bought these sandals 8 years ago and I paid over $100 for them. I had never paid that much for sandals but they have held up wonderfully!!

I was looking through the closet the other day and realized I don't have much yellow, so the last time I was shopping I picked up this solid yellow tee! It is super soft and I love it! I paired it with a Kendra Scott necklace and again my trusty sandals (I'm telling you I wear them almost everyday in the summer!) and if you don't have a Kendra Scott, Mother's Day is right around the corner..It would be a great gift! They are awesome necklaces! I would love to have more colors! Matthew if you are reading...yellow and hot pink would be my next choices :)

Sunday at church, I wore this dress! I totally forgot to take a picture but you get the idea. I paired it with a denim jacket, wedges and a cute long necklace!!! This dress is from Old Navy and is awesome!!! You need to buy it right now and I am almost positive they are having a big sale today! I know this is going to be a favorite summer dress for me!

Well that's all I have for you today!! Linking up with Sarah @ Tucker Up, Shanna @ Because Shanna Said So.
Hope you have a blessed day!
Lots of love..

Friday Favorites!

Yay!! It's Friday, and the sun is shining! It is going to be a great day! Linking up these three lovely ladies to share my favorites... Andrea, Erika, and Narci!

*Hudson moment: This boy LOVES baseball! oh wait, anything that involves a ball! Football, baseball, golf, soccer, basetball! He loves it all and he loves to watch it! Our sweet girl "TT" has started Tball so we have been going to her games and Hudson will sit and watch the whole thing! We are excited for big brother to start ball in a few weeks!

*Jagger moment: Yesterday was Jagger's end of the year program! It was so sweet, and boy oh boy is my Jagger stage shy!!! He would not even hardly look at us. We were laughing because he was up there with almost 200 other kids, but he was still shy! I still can't believe school will be out in a couple of weeks, and then I will have a 1st grader! Tear.

Whew...I have decided I think it is time for momma to get a hair cut and a spray tan!! Good grief!

*Movie: Paddington! We watched this in the theater, but had to buy it when it came out on dvd. It is such a good movie! I reccomend it to everyone! Jagger really wanted me to buy some marmalade so he could have a marmalade sandwich just like Paddington. Lets just say it was not a hit in our family like it is in the movie! ;)

*Verse:

*Outfit: I did manage to break out one cute outfit again this week, so that will be my favorite! I was excited because I found this necklace at Wal-Mart for $5! Wal-Mart has had some really cute necklaces the last few times I have looked! You can't beat $5 even if it doesn't last!

*Book: I am reading American Heiress from Daisy Goodwin, and it is so good! I read until 12:30 last night. Here is what goodreads.com says,
Traveling abroad with her mother at the turn of the twentieth century to seek a titled husband, beautiful, vivacious Cora Cash, whose family mansion in Newport dwarfs the Vanderbilts’, suddenly finds herself Duchess of Wareham, married to Ivo, the most eligible bachelor in England. Nothing is quite as it seems, however: Ivo is withdrawn and secretive, and the English social scene is full of traps and betrayals. Money, Cora soon learns, cannot buy everything, as she must decide what is truly worth the price in her life and her marriage.
You should for sure add it to your summer reads!

*Food: My food life has been pretty boring here lately because I am trying to lose weight! I am about 5 more lbs from my "happy weight". I don't really like focusing on the number, but more importantly I feel good at this weight and my clothes fit how they are suppose to! Anywho, my life has been full of fruits, veggies, chicken breast, and water!! Pretty boring I know!

Hope everyone has a blessed weekend!
Lots of love..
