When I think of my childhood one thing that pops in my head is movies!! My mom and I LOVED movies! Every Friday night we would go to Hastings and rent enough movies to watch all weekend!! Mom would rent her movies, I would rent some or we would pick them out together! (I miss renting movies like this! Our kids have no idea what they are missing)
Then we would pick up Chinese take out, or whatever else sounded good and head to the house! Not only did we rent movies but we loved going to the theater! The last couple of years my movie watching has kind of slowed down, but we do try to watch them when we can! The last week I have watched more movies than I have in 6 months! So I wanted to share my thoughts....
*Friday night I joined Heather and her family to watch Cinderella! I have been so excited about this since I saw the preview! It was awesome!! Now do I think it was for little girl? No not really..from what I could tell in the theater most little, little girls were bored within the first 15 minutes of the movie! but as an adult, I LOVED it!! Great job Disney!
*Exodus: Gods and Kings- Matthew and I watched this movie the other day and thought it was great! I loved seeing the story of Moses come to life. Now there were a few parts that I thought were strange, but overall we enjoyed it!
*Annie: I wasn't sure if we would like this movie, but had heard great things about it. I let Jagger watch it with us and we ended up LOVING it! It was such a cute movie! I almost liked it as much as the original! Cameron Diaz is a great Ms. Hannigan! At one point in the movie, Jagger started crying saying he wanted us to adopt!! I love my sweet boy and his big heart!
* The Theory of Everything: Honestly I wasn't sure what this movie was about when I rented it, but thought I had remembered the preview and it looked good! Yesterday during Hudson's therapy and nap I watched it..It is about Stephen Hawking, and his life. There were a couple of times I got bored, but it was interesting to see his life and how we lived with Lou Gehrigs disease.
So, have you watched any good movies lately???
Hope everyone has a blessed day! Lots of love..
I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to talk about nail polish!!!
Nail polish is so fun! Personally, I go through spells with nail polish! When I am cooking everyday I do not normally keep my nails polished because they chip so easy, and that drives me NUTS!!! My toes pretty much stay polished 99% of the time!! I use to keep containers and containers of it, but then decided to let it all go and keep my FAVS......
*OPI polishes are great!! They go on great and they normally don't chip! Funny Bunny and Cajun Shrimp are my two must haves in this brand! Cajun Shrimp looks gorgeous during the summer!! and Funny Bunny is awesome all year round..
*Essie- I only started buying Essie a couple of years ago! I had never heard of it but was seeing it all over Pinterest! I bought Chinchilly and was instantly in LOVE!!! Its a great gray color..not too dark and not too light! I could wear gray and black polish all year! It just seems to match everything I wear!
* NYC in a New York Minute Color : Fashion Safari I was at Walgreens and wanted a nude color..I just happened to see this brand on the end cap and it caught my attention! I was in shock at how fast it dried!! It is awesome! Now it didn't stay on for days, but just having the fast dry was worth in my book!
Do you have a favorite nail polish?
Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Lots of love..
*This week I have been getting caught up on Grey's Anatomy. I was behind 2 seasons...enter Netflix/Hulu trance! (spoiler alert!! If you have not watched it..stop here because I will ruin it for you!) I was totally in shock, like mouth opened, shocked, shocked, shocked when Cristina is at a hospital in Zurich giving a presentation when Dr. Burke walks out of the shadows!! I about fell out of my chair!!! Shonda Rymes, you got me good on this one! Totally unexpected!
*Whenever I hear Sugar by Maroon 5 or Jealous by Nick Jonas, I totally stop what I am doing and have a dance party!!
*I have exercised 4 times this week!! Woohooo....
*I have heard a rumor that it might snow this weekend..I am completely trying to ignore that!
*Cinderella on Friday night!! YES!! Can't wait to see it!
It's Wednesday and I feel like the closet has had a good week!! I still have not bought anything new in over a month, so everything that I am wearing is stuff that has been in the closet!!! ;) I know this makes the hubby happy...me not too much, but I am surviving!!
It was cloudy and cool the other day so instead of breaking out a coat, I decided to layer up! The trusty buffalo plaid never lets me down! Layered with a thin gray sweater, skinnies, leopard sneakers, and a statement necklace!!
Florals are close to one of my favorite things to wear and the fact that they are "popular" this year makes it even better!! I love this floral blouse and skinny jeans and nude flats!! Perfect for a sunny day!
Saturday we had a birthday party to go to and errands to run! Oh and the sun was shining again! White cropped jeans were a must! Paired with a white striped tunic and tan flats!! I really liked this outfit!!
You are going to get tired of seeing camo jeans, white cropped jeans, and leopard sneakers! They are some of my favorite pieces!! It was 70 degrees outside so I was ready to wear short sleeves, and flip flops! Enter camo jeans, graphic tee, denim vest ($8 on clearance at Target back in October), and sandals!! Yes..Yes and Yes! fun and different!
Royal blue and leopard are always a plus in my book!! I had this royal blue top from last year and loved it! I paired it with dark jeans (yes I wear them all the time!!) and leopard flats!!
Linking up with Shanna at Because Shanna Said So, Lindsey at Pleated Poppy, and Liz at Shopping My Closet....
Well that is all I have for you!!! Hopefully you can find a little inspiration....and as always, I hope you have a blessed day!
Lots of love..
Well, it is a gloomy yucky day here, so I don't have anything fun to talk about! We were all asleep by 8:30 last night and over slept this morning! It was one of those crazy rushed mornings..I hate those!!

This week is half over!! Crazy!! We had an awesome St. Patricks Day, and now it's time to focus on Easter!! Easter is my FAVORITE holiday!!
Ok, here is what my closet has been up to!
I wanted to wear this navy polka dot shirt, but when I put it on it felt boring!!! Just blah...so I started digging and found the mustard cardigan..ok getting better. Still needed something!! Leopard belt to the rescue!!! and Nude flats that I wear with everything! If you don't have nude flats get some right now!!! I wear the mess out of mine and actually will probably need a new pair this year!
Saturday night we had a crawfish boil to attend! I wanted to be comfy and warm! Leather and converse has become one of my favorite looks! I have always worn converse, and those are also a must! If you don't have them...get them! You won't be sorry!! I threw on a plain grey tee, black leather jacket, skinny jeans, converse and Akola project necklace!! Probably one of my favorite looks!!
The hubs is president of the Chamber, and the Chamber banquet was Monday night! I really had no clue what to wear and stressed over it all weekend!! I ended up going with black! If you can't ever decide what direction to go...go black!! Its always a classic! I have had this black dress since Jagger was born, so 6 years! I added a belt and my favorite wedges!! These tan Steve Madden wedges are some of my favorite wedges I have ever owned! They are so comfy!!
St. Patricks Day means you wear green!! I love green so my closet is not lacking in this color! This green blouse is one of my favorite "springy" shirts!!! pair it with oxfords and I am good to go!! No pinches for me! ;)
Wooohooo!!! It's St. Paddy's Day!! We don't really celebrate this "holiday", but I do love a reason to decorate and give "cute" gifts!! and of course, Jagger totally thinks he can set a trap to catch those silly Leprechauns!!
The boys prize from the Leprechauns!! Picked up most of this from the Dollar Tree!!
We are so blessed with Jagger's teacher! she is beyond precious and so good to him! I loved how this little gift turned out!! I took a mason jar and filled it with Rolos!! Easy Peasy!
If you have been reading my blog for anytime then you know I love to do "special day" breakfasts!! Breakfast always works for our family! Its a time when we are all together and everyone is in a great mood first thing in the morning!!
North Pole Breakfast....
St. Patrick's Day Breakfast.....Jagger set a trap last night for the Leprechaun....the Leprechaun took the gold and left some goodies!! ;) Jagger was excited!!
Ummmmmm yea, that is a Mt. Dew for breakfast!! It happens only 1 time a year and that is on St. Paddy's Day! I know I get mom of the year award! :)
Lucky Charms for the main meal!
Hudson really only cared about the Rolos!
and since it is St. Patrick's Day, green is the only option! The boys all wore green and I got to wear one of my favorite green blouses with oxfords!!
I delivered lunches today and found a verse that was perfect for this day!!
