Red, White and Blue!

I love a good theme! It really makes my heart happy when I can go all out with a theme! Gaudy, extreme, overboard...whatever you want to call it! It still makes my heart leap for joy! ;) With the 4th of July coming up, I am have been super excited about doing themed clothes, crafts, decorations and food! ;) (I know you are thinking I am weird!) Last week the boys and I got our creative juices flowing by doing some red, white and blue crafts! We ended up having such a great time. Lots of laughter was made while we crafted our little hearts away! Over a two day period we transformed our home into a 4th of July wonderland!
This was really one of the first times that Hudson got to paint all by himself! He was loving it! I have learned that if you have paper plates and paint, you can make about anything! Paper plates make the best crafts! We made flags and an Uncle Sam out of the paper plates!
I think our Uncle Sam turned out tooo cute! Hudson points at him and calls him Santa!
I took all the flags we made and hung them with clothes pins! I was excited how it  turned out and the boys love getting to see their flags!
I love decorating this corner for holidays! It easy to see and I use the bakers rack to sit things on! I know it's hard to see but we do have a Solider Nutcracker that I thought was great for the 4th! Oh, how we love our nutcrackers!  The large canvas is not finished but it will be an flag made out of the boys hands and feet!
Jagger and his Aunt Claire made the bald eagles! They are just toilet paper rolls with construction paper and the wings are their hands! I think they are so darn cute!
Jagger wanted to put the bunting in the kitchen above the sink! I think it turned out to be a pretty good spot!
I always have issues with centerpieces but this has been one of my favorites I have ever done! The balls and gloves came from the shed. I thought to bring in the 4th, I would just add the american flags...Bam..you have a centerpiece!
This side table is still a working progress. Working progress as in, the frame need a picture! I folded up a huge flag we had to put the other things on. I found a glass vase,  stuffed it with a red bandanna, and then stuck some flags in it! and there you have all of our red, white and blue decorations! Bring on Independence Day!
Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Lots of love..

Life Lately!

I love my blog. I enjoy getting to share my thoughts and what is going on in our world, but I am still feeling blah when it comes to writing. I just can't seem to get my thoughts together! It is driving me crazy, so just bear with me if the posts are few and far between! I will get there!
So many things have been going on in our life and in the world. I have just really been sitting back and soaking it in. I had to take a break from social media for a few days because of all negativity going on. *I am not going to make a huge post on what has been going on in the world and what I think about it. I have my beliefs and I do stand firm on them. I have been so saddened by all the negativity out there. So many horrible things being said, It is makes me sad that my kids have to grow up with all the hate in the world! I do pray on a daily basis that my family will see and love others as Jesus does!*
Anywho, baseball season is finished! We had a good season. We were not the best. We were not even the second best, but I will tell you that are kids had a great time and always had a smile on those sweet faces, so that is all I can ask for!

Matthew and I celebrated our 7th anniversary this weekend. I can't hardly believe it has been 7 years! We have had our good times and bad times. We have had the highs and lows, and everything in between! Through all this I know 100% there is no other man out there I want to do life with. I have found the man I will grow old with and I am oh so grateful!

Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Lots of love..

A Few Facts!

Hey y'all!! It's been a few, I know. I have been horrible about staying on track with the blogging. Life just gets in the way! Instead of beating myself up, I will just blog when I can and go with that! ;) So I wanted to share a few facts with you about what is going on in our world lately!!

*The "cousins" have been here for 2 weeks, so our world has been consumed with them! Jagger stays with them until bedtime (9:45) and then wakes up at 7:30am and wants to instantly go to grandmas! We took our yearly cabin trip with them this year. It was hysterical. 5 kids and 3 adults in a van..entertainment!

*I have learned that I am horrible with a "blogging schedule". I have full intentions of blogging but then I run out of time or fall asleep before I can get it typed for the next day? I am also bad about getting so far behind on reading other blogs that I can't get caught up.....How do other bloggers do it???

*I am going on 20 something days of healthy eating and exercise. Last night I did a crossfit workout and today I can barely move my legs.

*Today I got mad at God. I hope this does not make me sound like a horrible person, but we have something personally going on that I wasn't happy about. I guess you could say it didn't get my way. I told God I was angry with him, then apologized and ask that he would forgive me. I do tend to get wrapped up in what I want and not what HE could possibly have in store for us.  Am I the only one that does this?

*I was looking at pictures today of my boys and had a small break down! Stop growing so fast!

*If you have read my blog for any sort of time, or followed me on Instagram then you know I LOVE to do special breakfasts! I do them for every holiday/birthday/etc...I am doing one for Father's Day and it is going to be awesome. I can't wait to share it with you! (Matthew if you are reading this..please forget about this part!)

* I haven't done a What I am Wearing post in a long time. It sort of makes me sad, but the real reason is I do not own many summer clothes??? I am just not a summer clothes kind of girl! I like my boots, scarves and jeans! ;)

*Matthew and I will be celebrating our anniversary soon! We have been through a lot in a few short years and I wouldn't have it any other way! ;)

Well...that's all I have for you today!
Hope you have a super blessed Friday!
Lots of love...

Big Day!

Tomorrow is going to be a big day for our little guy!! We are going to Cardinal Glennon for what could possibly be our last appointment ever! This has been a 2.5 year journey that is coming to a close. As I sit here and think about the last two years, all I can do is cry. What a journey it has been. We have had good times and bad times. There were times I would beg God to wake me up from this nightmare. I have been on my knees thanking HIM many times for allowing us to keep Hudson here on earth with us. I thank HIM daily that our sweet boy has come out of this journey one healthy, strong willed, precious little boy! I am reminded several times a day that he could have so many health problems! He is a full blown miracle that has been prayed over on a daily basis for 2 years straight. He has out weighted the odds many times, and even managed to stump doctors and nurses. There are no medical reasoning behind how awesome he is doing..It is strictly our Heavenly Father! So....tomorrow say a small prayer for this momma! It is going to be one emotional day! I will keep you posted on how it goes!

Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Lots of love..

June Goals!

Yes, I realize it is 10pm and I am just not blogging but better late than never right???
So, I have been reading blogs for almost 10 years now and most everyone I read does some sort of  goals!! I have finally decided to take the plunge  and make some goals for myself.
I found this super cute journal to keep track of my goals! I love the quote on the front. "Happiness is a bright and shining thing." Amen to that!
 My goals for the month....

1- Quiet time every day! This is number 1 because I feel like it is most important. The last few months have been insane and I have completely fell out of daily quite time. This is such a special thing to me and I am not sure what happened. Life I guess...But it is time for a change! It is time to make this a priority again!

2-Exercise at least 3 times a week! Of course I want to do this so I feel good in my own skin, but also for my kids! I want to do this so I will be in good health for my kids and my hubby!

3-Read 3 books! I really don't think I will have a problem with this one. Heather and I are reading books a discussing them this summer! I guess you could call it our Summer Book Club! I started The Husband's Secret a few days ago and am almost done, so that would be 2 left!! We were thinking about The Girl on The Train next. Has anyone read it?

4- 2 dates with the hubs! No explanation needed...I just need some alone time with my good lookin hubs! ;)

5- 1 day a week with no technology (phone calls are permitted!)  I just want to wake up and not pick up an ipad, ipod, or computer. I dont' want to turn on the tv. I plan on taking this day to enjoy ever minute with my kids. I want to soak up their laughs. I want to cuddle and not get interrupted by a text message! I just want to be! Bye Bye Technology!

6- get enrolled in college! This one is pretty much done! All I have to do is get my transcripts up there. I am hoping to have that done by Monday. Then it is just waiting to see what credits get transferred and all that jazz! I am super excited about starting back to school! Can't wait to see where that road leads me!

That's all I have for you! At the end of the month, I will update you on how I did with my goals!
Hope everyone has a blessed night!
Lots of love..

What's up Wednesday!!!

Well..here we are the 3rd of June! Can you believe it? Half of the year almost gone! Seems unreal.. I am sorry about the blogger slump I still am in. I am not sure what in the world is going on. I just feel like I don't have anything to write about...Our life is boring right now! But I will take it! ;)
My friend Jenny posted this on Instagram this morning and it was cracking me up because I totally do this every time...

What I am Looking Forward To
A few years ago before Hudson was born, Matthew and I went through a major lifestyle change. We got rid of our new car and bought a 99 Camry that we paid cash for so we had no car payment. We got rid of cable, "smart phones", and all things like that. It was super nice financially but then it was also nice to not be tied to all of these things...so saying all that, we are fixing to do it again!! We both have felt like our life is consumed with the world, and we are tired of it! We want to put our focus more on our kids and God! We will be getting rid of our iPhone and going back to basic small phones..talk and text...we will be dropping cable..we will be using the money saved to pay off some debt and hopefully very soon we will be completely debt free!!! YAY!! I am so looking forward to the burden of these things taken away!

What I am Loving
Watching my sweet Jagger play baseball!!! The smile on that boys face when he is on the field is priceless! I just want to bottle it up and keep it forever!

What I'm Hating
I'm hating that I get so down on myself! This has been an on going battle for awhile now. I just want to love myself for who I am ...flaws and all!

What I am Wearing
Well.........honestly my summer closet is slim! not sure why I don't have many summer clothes...guess because I like my body completely covered!! :) I have been living in tshirts and yoga capris!!

What I am Watching
Nothing because I am too caught up in reading!!! Currently reading: The Husband's Secret

What I am Annoyed By
oh my gosh....here lately I have been around more adults who don't act like adults!! This annoys me! Please act your age!

What I am Listening To
Travis Cottrell Radio on Pandora!!! Great Worship music that I can keep on all day!

Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Lots of love..
