I love a good theme! It really makes my heart happy when I can go all out with a theme! Gaudy, extreme, overboard...whatever you want to call it! It still makes my heart leap for joy! ;) With the 4th of July coming up, I am have been super excited about doing themed clothes, crafts, decorations and food! ;) (I know you are thinking I am weird!) Last week the boys and I got our creative juices flowing by doing some red, white and blue crafts! We ended up having such a great time. Lots of laughter was made while we crafted our little hearts away! Over a two day period we transformed our home into a 4th of July wonderland!
This was really one of the first times that Hudson got to paint all by himself! He was loving it! I have learned that if you have paper plates and paint, you can make about anything! Paper plates make the best crafts! We made flags and an Uncle Sam out of the paper plates!
I think our Uncle Sam turned out tooo cute! Hudson points at him and calls him Santa!
I took all the flags we made and hung them with clothes pins! I was excited how it turned out and the boys love getting to see their flags!
I love decorating this corner for holidays! It easy to see and I use the bakers rack to sit things on! I know it's hard to see but we do have a Solider Nutcracker that I thought was great for the 4th! Oh, how we love our nutcrackers! The large canvas is not finished but it will be an flag made out of the boys hands and feet!
Jagger and his Aunt Claire made the bald eagles! They are just toilet paper rolls with construction paper and the wings are their hands! I think they are so darn cute!
Jagger wanted to put the bunting in the kitchen above the sink! I think it turned out to be a pretty good spot!
I always have issues with centerpieces but this has been one of my favorites I have ever done! The balls and gloves came from the shed. I thought to bring in the 4th, I would just add the american flags...Bam..you have a centerpiece!
This side table is still a working progress. Working progress as in, the frame need a picture! I folded up a huge flag we had to put the other things on. I found a glass vase, stuffed it with a red bandanna, and then stuck some flags in it! and there you have all of our red, white and blue decorations! Bring on Independence Day!
Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Lots of love..
