Very Excited!

So some of you may not know but we have family news!!
Yes...we are expecting and we are very excited! We had been wanting to have another but we never DREAMED it would happen so fast! Now that it has been awhile since we have found out we know without a doubt that it was completely all in God's hands! He was ready for us to have this new baby!! Jagger does not really understand the whole thing. We have been trying to talk to him about it but he really does not say anything! I am thinking that when I start showing he might start noticing that things are different! ;) and who knows he may not get it until we are at the hospital with the new baby! Everyone has been asking if we are wanting a boy or a girl..my first reaction is BOY but honestly I will take whatever God has in store for us! I have been struggling with all sorts of emotions and the one that has really been getting me is (I hope I don't sound like a horrible person for this) how in the world will I be able to love another child as much as I love Jagger! It brings tears to my eyes right now because Jagger is our world..I have heard from many that have more than one child that it just happens! We will love this one the same as we love Jagger!
I have not been blogging the last little bit because of all of this! I have been so exhausted I can't hardly keep my head up, but I am starting to feel better and hope life will somewhat get back to normal. I also feel that I can come out of hiding! ;) We had known for awhile before we told and I kind of stayed at home away from everyone because I was afraid I would slip up and let the secret out!
so now...all of you that have more than one child what is your advice for us?????
Hope everyone has a blessed day!

  1. Oh, Sweet Megan! I have heard this so many, many times. God has given mothers hearts that expand with each additional child. You will love this new baby as much as you love Jagger but you will love it differently. My best friend felt this way about her second granddaughter. She asked me how could she love another like she loves the first. She found out soon enough. I am so very happy for you and Matthew. Your have such a beautiful family and I hope when you are my age you will still have that beautiful smile on your face. I love you!

  2. Sean and I are worried about the exact same thing!! We haven't decided on when to try for #2 (it will likely be a few years from now when I am finished with my doctorate) but we have no idea how in the world we will love another child as much as we love Faith!! So I completely understand your worries!

  3. Going from 1 child to 2 was so much easier for us than going from none to 1. I think the transition was a lot smoother. Jackson adjusted really well to a new baby, and we talked to him about it the whole pregnancy. I'm sure Jagger will do fine.
    Congratulations!!!!

  4. CONGRATS!!!! SO happy for your sweet family! As a mom of 2 - and soon to be now 4 I guarantee that your heart has room for both Jagger & this new peanut. I used to cry & cry when I was pregnant with Megan that I wouldn't love her the same as Madisyn, but boy was I wrong. Now with the twins coming I get nervous every now and again, not because I know I won't love them but becuase just adjusting time to have a toddler as well as two new babies at home will for sure shake up our routine. I always remember that if God leads you to it, the He will lead you through it. You are gonna be a fabulous mama! Can't wait to read more about it & watch your sweet family grow!
