It has been on my heart about sharing the good news of Jesus and how important it is to accept Him as our savior! I truly feel that if I am a follower of Christ and proclaim to be saved then its my job to tell others about Him!
If you take a minute to stop and look around at the world you know how bad it is! Its pretty obvious that it is only getting worse and I think it is very important to keep our eyes on Jesus right now!
It all starts with us and how we are sinners! Romans 3:23 "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." We all sin!! Its part of who we are! I sin. You sin. Preachers sin. Everyone. There is not one person who does not mess up. Because we are sinners we need a savior. Enter Jesus and the good news!! Jesus loves us so much He offers forgiveness of our sins and a change to how we live!
Jesus came into this world to save us! Jesus lived the perfect, sinless life and had no debt to pay (This blows my mind every time...he loves us so much that he would do this for US!) Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He died for us, taking our place and purchasing our salvation. We all need Jesus in our lives so that we can be forgiven and spend eternity in Heaven!
Our preacher will always ask if we were to die today would you know 100% you were going to Heaven!? If you have any doubts then its time to think about accepting Christ as your savior! Its the only way to Heaven!
So how can you know God and know that you are 100% going to Heaven??
*Accept Christ as your Savior - Romans 10:9, "If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

ReplyDeleteSomeone once told me, "Write what God puts on your heart to read. The person/people who need to read it will be led to read it." Maybe you wrote someone that only one person read but you know what, those words might have meant THE WORLD to that person. If only one person read this today, and that person was saved, wouldn't that be worth it? Follow what God puts on your heart and it will all work out ok.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post Megan! I am always so encouraged when others tell their story and what's really on their mind. I've meandered around it myself but never put it right out there---so proud of you :) If God is telling you to do something, you do it---period...done...no questions asked. Maybe someone who is struggling with their faith came across this post and asked Christ into their heart, maybe someone was unsure about the path they were on who had already accepted Christ and reading your post got them back on track. You never know how meaningful your words can be---but as long as you listen to what He is directing you to do, you are doing the right thing. God Bless!
