Good Friday!

Good Friday! to be honest I have never been one that has cared about Good Friday! It was just a day that I was out of school! This year it has really hit me different! Sunday at church in our bulletin was a week calender! It was the calender and it followed what Jesus did the last week of his life! Everyday I have followed that and I think that is why it has hit me different this year! To know that this morning is when he died on the cross for us! It brings tears to my eyes as I think about it! All week I have been telling Jagger what has been going on with Jesus! Yes, Easter baskets, eggs, candy, and all the other stuff is great but I want Jagger to know the true reason behind Easter! Yesterday, I was at Wal-Mart and as we were walking by the Easter aisle, one family really caught my eye! There was a mom, dad and two boys! The mom was yelling at the boys and telling them to just pick out a basket. The boys picked out one and she just threw them in the basket. I guess I was just floored because I felt like those boys probably have no idea what Easter is about..just getting a basket full of candy and toys! It hurts my heart, but that is what our society is about!
So, Bennie is here visiting and we have had a blast! Jagger woke up so happy that his Bennie was here! This morning, I got up and visited with mom! While she was working on the Body Wrap stuff ( another story) I started on Easter baskets! I am making little baskets for Jagger's best friends! They are so cute. I can't wait to take pictures of them! Jagger is wanting to deliver them himself! He told me I could wait in the car! :)

Acting silly!!

Playing with the Easter stickers Bennie gave him! ;)
Tomorrow we are going to dye real eggs! This is one of my favorite things about Easter! Plastic eggs are cool but not as good as real ones! Every year, we all get together (Matthew, Jagger, Gigi, Pa, Grandma, Aunt Charlyn, Aunt Claire, Aunt Julie, Allyson, Justin,) and dye the eggs! I love it...I hardly ever use the dye! I love to use sharpies and draw on them! and when I was younger we had these plastic liners that went around the egg. You would put it on the egg and then drop it in boiling water! They were cute...I am not even sure if they make those anymore!??? Do you have a favorite way to dye eggs!?
Hope everyone has a blessed "Good Friday"!!

  1. That makes me sad about the little boys in the store. I always feel bad for other kids even though I don't know anything about them. They could have the best parents and I may have just caught them at their worst. I always try to be on my best behavior at the store, haha. And I agree that Good Friday was different to me this year too. It held way more meaning
